Dr Collins is recognised by all the major insurance companies. Please contact your insurer prior to booking an appointment to obtain treatment authorisation. We are able to provide you with treatment codes to help your insurer understand the services we offer.
Self pay
An increasing number of patients are choosing to self-fund their care and want clarity on potential treatment costs. To facilitate this we have created the simple pricing system below. Please note these fees are applicable to The Saxon Clinic only.
Consultation fees
New appointments are for 45 minutes and follow-up appointment are for 30 minutes.
- £200 for new appointments
- £120 for follow-up appointments
Injection fees
- £150 for all injection techniques
Injection procedures are ultrasound guided. Please note this injection fee is in addition to the consultation fee.
Saxon Clinic fees
- The Saxon Clinic will also charge a £115 facility fee for injections. If hyaluronate is injected (such as Ostenil and Durolane) the clinic will charge an additional fee which varies depending on the compound used.

Example fees for injection with steroid
An ultrasound guided steroid injection performed at an initial consultation (including medical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound scan) would cost £465. The same procedure done at a follow-up consultation would cost £385.
Investigations
Musculoskeletal ultrasound scans will be performed by Dr Collins during your assessment as part of the overall consultation fee. Other diagnostic tests can be arranged at a hospital of your choice who will charge separately for these. Dr Collins can advise on the likely costs of these at your consultation.
