Why perform injections using ultrasound guidance?
Ultrasound guided injections offer a more accurate and effective way to deliver treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and can be undertaken in the clinic setting. Dr Collins is experienced in performing these.
Although most musculoskeletal symptoms can be managed effectively through activity modification and tailored rehabilitation, there are a number of conditions where ultrasound guided injections have been shown to provide significant benefit.
Which injections does Dr Collins perform?
Injection procedures currently available are:
- Joint injections
- Soft tissue injections
- Shoulder hydrodistension (for Frozen Shoulder)
- Tendon barbotage (for Calcific Tendinopathy)
